Four square miles; it’s where I’m from and it’s a state of mind. The author fancies himself a hack philosopher with a love of word play, random references to pop culture and other trivia, and metaphors and symbols, especially those associated with water imagery and bridges. The blog could just as rightly be named “The Bridge,” but I will defer to Hart Crane, Sonny Rollins and Washington Roebling on that subject.
Consider each page a square mile of its own, dedicated to a subject that occupies a good portion of my off-center mind: Sports–Music–Religion & Politics (any social structure or philosophy that gets the blood boiling)–and Writing, the last giving me the freedom to comment on anything outside of my self-imposed boundaries.
